“A google form will go out and students will be able vote because we believe as a department that democracy is worth maintaining and preserving,” history teacher Sara Griffith said. With a push from Mr. McIvor, the history department has officially bought their second fish after their first, James Madiswim, passed away earlier this year. Students are able to see the new pet with permission from teachers in the history department office. They organized a burial in the back of the school to give Madiswim (a name devised by Ms. Griffth) a proper send off. For Madiswim, the department sent out google form to students in advisory with different name ideas to decide on and they plan to do the same for this one in the new year. Make sure to vote for your favorite name!
