My “for you” page on TikTok has been flooded with videos questioning the whereabouts of Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales. In early 2011, Middleton was married to Prince William, the successor to the British throne. This year, Kate Middleton went into the hospital on January 16 for a “planned abdominal surgery” but has not been seen since Christmas 2023. Many conspiracy theories have come out regarding where she is, but nothing has been confirmed. Here is what we know:
Dec. 25 ,2023 was the last time that Kate Middleton was seen in public
On Jan. 17 on the royal Instagram account, a statement was released saying that she went in on the 16th for abdominal surgery. This message also said that the surgery was successful and that she would remain in the hospital for up to two weeks. It also mentioned that she would return sometime on Easter or after Easter.
Jan. 18: William visits Kate in the hospital but their three kids are not seen.
Jan. 29: another statement was released that said Kate Middleton had returned home to Windsor Palace and is continuing her recovery. This said that she was making good progress.
A Spanish journalist comes out and says that she has inside information. She presents this information to the public saying that there were complications with the surgery and that Kate Middleton was in an induced coma.
The Palace denied these claims and stuck by their word saying that the princess was okay. However, the journalist still sticks by her claims as well.
Feb. 29: another announcement was made from the palace stating that Kate was doing fine and that the only updates that would be made were if anything substantial were needed to be said.
Unconfirmed news that has come out is that Kate Middleton’s lawyers are extremely nervous. One of them even said that he “believe(s) she’s dead, ”although this is not verified.
Finally, on March 22, a video was released of the princess, in which she states that she has cancer (without disclosing what kind of cancer) and that she is beginning chemotherapy.
