I would go as far as to say that I enjoyed taking the digital SAT. I felt prepared to take this test for multiple reasons. Here is a list of reasons why I loved the digital SAT.
- Practice SATs
Because of using Bluebook and being given our logins early, we could log onto Bluebook at home and take a mock version of the exam. This mock version had the exact same setup as the normal exam. It looked the same and the questions were similar to what was actually going to be on the exam. - Desmos Calculator
Being able to use a calculator that automatically graphs was a game-changer for the SAT. Previously with graphing problems many people, including myself, did not know how to graph lines on the graphing calculator, and for the people who did know, it took a long time. However, using desmos was so incredibly easy, and also provided shortcuts for problems if you knew how desmos worked. - Time
I don’t know if this was just me but I really enjoyed being able to see the timer right above the questions so I wasn’t wasting time looking up at the clock to see how much time I had left. I think that this also was particularly helpful in being able to see if you were on track and how far you still had to go. - Flagging Questions
Although some of the features on the digital SAT seemed pointless, I actually thought that the flagging feature, being able to flag a question for review, was very handy. Because of the flagging feature, I was able to go back to questions with relative ease and not have to search through papers for some symbol that was handwritten. - Speed of Results
I really love how quickly our scores came in. I was expecting them to take a long time like the paper ones, but it has been a little over a month and the scores have been released which gives many people more time to consider doing a makeup exam.
